cheere Hadn't read all solutions so I apologize if I'm repeating someone but all I did was go back to Belkin router setup utility, or (192.168.2.1) and clicked "wi fi protected setup".Then, I selected disable at the "wi fi protected setup (wps)" option.
However, it didnt work, until I disconnected, turned the power off my Wi Fi, unchecked the tab in the authenticate dialog box, clicked ok, then switched the Wi Fi power back on, and reconnected.
Is the network setup for just auto IP configuration. Oh and make sure that the mac address of the wireless card on the xp machine has not been excluded in a mac address filter in the router.
Edit: since you have just reformatted the xp machine.
- If still unable to connect, restart your machine, and try again.
- If still doesn't work, read the manual until you understand what is router is all about. : DRegards, Syed Hi, a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
